What do the plots have to have? Obviously, there’s romance but it can’t just be about two people falling in love, can it? There has to be something else going on.

I’m writing, or, hopefully I will be starting to, write a romance novel and it’s hard to come up with different plots. But maybe I’m just not thinking about it hard enough.
But anyway, what’s okay/not okay for romance novels?
