daraia5 asked: 1) Janice’s idea of a great vacation is to read a different mystery novel each day. She knows of 16 different ones she would like to read, but she’ll only have time for 5. How many choices does she have about which 5 books to check out of the library? Explain your reasoning.
2) Lori has a different idea of a great vacation. She is an avid biker and has bought a book with ten day-long bike trips in her area. Of course, she’ll be able to do only five of these. She needs to decide which trip to do on Monday, which to do on Tuesday, and so on. (Of course, she won’t repeat the same trip twice.) How many different schedules does she have to choose from? Explain your reasoning.
Please answer and thoroughly explain your answers, I’m not sure how to do them.
This isn’t my full homework, I did the other questions…I don’t understand how to do these though because I never had background knowledge on probability. (Don’t ask, it’s a long story)
Why can’t you explain how you got it, so I can learn how to do it?

Jess asked: I went to two different doctors yesterday one by appt. and another to the er because i have been shaky and light headed and head ache (not bad) accompanied by occasional heavy feeling in chest when breathing and pain. The first doctor said it was hyperventilation, which was way wrong because I know what that is and my breathing is not rapid and such. The other doctor said she didn’t have any idea what it could be and she was an idiot and kept asking if i have had prolonged exposure to any chemicals and such. Then she said that i was like a character in a mystery novel and said they will either get better or worse. I have am planning on going to a larger hospital today when my sister has time to bring me. I fell like i am in a daze my thoughts are cloudy and such. The shaking gets worse when i don’t eat and so on. Can anyone help me with this have you experienced anything like this? And I will be going to a third doctor.
This has been going on for 4 days now. I always have gotten shaky and queezy if I dont eat but this has been constant and gets worse when I do eat.
