I like Kathy Reichs better than Pat Cornwell. Her credentials are similar to Pat Cornwell, but more advanced. She works with skeletons - turns them into people. Plus, she usually has true history and doesn’t drag on her stories to make a book longer. Give her a try, then you decide.
