*some figurative language (though not that important)

*easy to comprehend/ a GOOD story!….i love mystery/romance novels….if that helps

Ok, this is a book I read when I was a teenager and my daughter seems really excited when I described it to her. There is a rich girl who falls for the boy that is from the wrong side of the tracks. He has his best friend who gets killed by getting decapitated by a fishing line (or thin wire) while on his dirt bike. The teens doing the murders are out to “purge” these evil people from their town. I really like this book. Yes, as a teen, I was into horror novels and murder mystery. But I know this book was in the teens section. I am just really lost who wrote it and what the title was. I thought it was Christopher Pike but not sure. I LOVED Christopher Pike books when I was younger. Thanks for the help!!!!!!!!

His best friend was his lawyer, I think. But I can’t think of the name of the book or the author and it’s driving me nuts. Anyone??
Never mind…. I figured it out. Silent Witness by Richard North Patterson was what I was thinking of. The details were a little more complicated than what I remembered/described.

Give me a lot of reccomendations with a lot of different types. I like stuff that is either in the present or not so far past. Future stuff is crap too I think. I could be wrong, if something that I “don’t like” is really good just tell me.
